Job summary

Crown Holdings, Inc. is seeking a forklift operator for our Nevada manufacturing facility. You will operate powered industrial trucks, move pallets, and support production and shipping processes in a high-paced environment.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, 2-3 years of forklift/production experience, ability to work varied shifts including nights and weekends, and Crown certification to operate the trucks.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or G.E.D preferred.
  • 2-3 year previous forklift manufacturing/production experience.
  • Must be available to work various shifts if needed and be able to work nights, weekends, and overtime to cover absences or provide additional support.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures all equipment, guards, and safety devices are in place at all times, and follows safe work procedures and safety rules.
  • Operates powered industrial trucks to pull pallets from the outgoing conveyor line and transport inventory to the warehouse.
  • Operates powered industrial trucks to transport inventory and load tractor trailers for shipment.
  • Transports inventory in warehouse to correct locations and stages orders for shipment.
  • Understands daily production schedule and corresponds with mgmt. leads, and coworkers accordingly
  • Performs visual inspection of aluminum cans and packaging quality
  • Ensures dunnage (ie: pallets, slip sheets, top frames etc) are available in outgoing area
  • Transfers HFI’d pallets to proper storage locations
  • Monitors equipment, processes, or schedules, and reports problems to supervisor
  • Follows all SOP’s and communicates with proper personnel as concerns or issues arise
  • Assist QA in locating pallets for sampling
  • Keeps equipment and all areas safe, clean, and organized through proper housekeeping
  • Performs other related duties as required

  • The team member frequently is required to climb or balance
  • The team member is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • May be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
Working Conditions
  • Generally works in a manufacturing environment
  • While performing the duties of this job, the associate may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicular traffic
  • The associate may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures especially in the summer and winter months
  • The noise level is frequently loud
