Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Ensures all equipment, guards, and safety devices are in place and follow safety rules.
  • Operates powered industrial trucks to pull pallets and transport inventory to the warehouse.
  • Places inventory in correct locations and stages orders for shipment.
  • Loads outbound truck trailers with aluminum cans safely and efficiently.
  • Monitors production schedule and communicates with management and coworkers.
  • Performs visual inspection of cans and packaging quality.
  • Maintains safe housekeeping and keeps work areas clean.

Job Accountabilities
  • Ensures all equipment, guards, and safety devices are in place at all times, and follows safe work procedures and safety rules
  • Operates powered industrial trucks to pull pallets from the outgoing conveyor line and transport inventory to the warehouse.
  • Places inventory in warehouse to correct locations and stages orders for shipment.
  • Loads outbound truck trailers with aluminum cans efficiently and accurately to ensure safe transport to customer
  • Understands daily production schedule and corresponds with mgmt. leads, and coworkers accordingly
  • Performs visual inspection of aluminum cans and packaging quality
  • Ensures dunnage (ie: pallets, slip sheets, top frames etc) are available in outgoing area when Relief operator is breaking out coworkers.
  • Transfers HFI’d pallets to proper storage locations
  • Assists in poor packing issues in outgoing dept.
  • Monitors equipment, processes, or schedules, and reports problems to supervisor
  • Follows all SOP’s and communicates with proper personnel as concerns or issues arise
  • Assist QA in locating pallets for sampling
  • Keeps equipment and all areas safe, clean, and organized through proper housekeeping
  • Performs other related duties as required

  • The associate may be required to sometimes sit, climb or balance.
  • The associate may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this position includes close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
  • The associate is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
  • The associate may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures.
  • The noise level is usually loud.
