Crown Holdings, Inc. is hiring a dependable Forklift Driver/Operator to support the Plant Shipping team. You will operate powered industrial trucks, transport inventory, and stage orders for shipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You must follow safety protocols, perform routine equipment checks, and assist with QA sampling as needed. The role requires twelve-hour shifts, strong teamwork, and precise record keeping to ensure on-time delivery and product quality.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent with 3+ years forklift experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Must lift up to 50 pounds and stand/reach/bend as needed.
• Available for 12-hour day/evening shifts.
• Effective communication and teamwork in a crew environment.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
• Preferred OSHA/Forklift Trainer certification.

Job Description:

The forklift operator works closely with the Plant Shipping Supervisor to ensure the packaging, handling, and shipment of a quality product that meets or exceeds customer expectations.

Job Accountabilities:

Reporting directly to the Plant Shipping Supervisor, the Forklift Driver/Operators responsibilities would include, but not be limited to, the following: Ensures all equipment, guards, and safety devices are in place at all times, and follows safe work procedures and safety rules Operates powered industrial trucks to transport inventory and load tractor trailers for shipment. Transports inventory in warehouse to correct locations and stages orders for shipment. Understands daily production schedule and corresponds with mgmt. leads, and coworkers accordingly Performs visual inspection of aluminum cans and packaging quality Monitors schedules, equipment, or processes, and reports problems to Supervisor Assists with Material Movers (Line drivers) or other forklift operations when necessary Follows all SOP's (standard operating procedures) and communicates with proper personnel as concerns or issues arise Assist Quality Assurance in locating pallets for sampling Keeps equipment and all areas safe, clean, and organized through proper housekeeping Performs other related duties as required

Job Requirements Qualifications:

In addition to the specific responsibilities listed above, the ideal candidate will possess the following:

Minimum Requirements

• A high school diploma preferred or equivalent with 3+ years working forklift experience in a manufacturing setting (high-speed manufacturing is preferred).
• Must have the ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds on occasion and regularly stand, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. This position may also require climbing or balancing.
• Must be able to work twelve (12) hour shifts, both day and evening.
• Effective and proven communication skills (both written and verbal) working in a team environment.
• Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects/tasks at the same time.
• Effective record keeping skills and the ability to focus on details.

Preferred Requirements

• OSHA/Forklift Trainer Certified
• Beverage Packaging industry experience
• Knowledge of AS400 Competencies
• Problem solving skills through an individual and/or collaborative approach
• Ability to work independently or with a team. With consensus be able to look at new solutions and "think outside the box".
• Effective leadership skills such as conflict resolution, communication, decision making, etc.
• Demonstrated good relations skills and the ability to motivate or team with people.
• Excellent time management skills and multi-tasking.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Computer skills and working knowledge of various Microsoft programs (Excel, Word, Access, etc.).
