Job summary

Crown Cork & Seal USA, Inc. in Mesquite, NV is seeking a forklift operator to support warehouse operations. You will pull pallets, transport inventory and load trucks while following safety procedures and production schedules.

The role requires 2–3 years of forklift experience, a high school diploma or GED, ability to work nights, weekends and overtime, and Crown certification to operate PIT. Strong communication, teamwork and record-keeping skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Operates powered industrial trucks to pull pallets from the outgoing conveyor line.
• Transports inventory and loads tractor trailers for shipment.
• Stacks and stages orders in the warehouse per production schedule.
• Keeps work areas safe, clean and organized.
• Performs daily visual inspections of aluminum cans and packaging quality.
• Reports problems to supervisor and follows SOPs.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensures all equipment, guards, and safety devices are in place at all times, and follows safe work procedures and safety rules
• Operates powered industrial trucks to pull pallets from the outgoing conveyor line and transport inventory to the warehouse.
• Operates powered industrial trucks to transport inventory and load tractor trailers for shipment.
• Transports inventory in warehouse to correct locations and stages orders for shipment.
• Understands daily production schedule and corresponds with mgmt. leads, and coworkers accordingly
• Performs visual inspection of aluminum cans and packaging quality
• Ensures dunnage (ie: pallets, slip sheets, top frames etc) are available in outgoing area
• Transfers HFI’d pallets to proper storage locations
• Monitors equipment, processes, or schedules, and reports problems to supervisor
• Follows all SOP’s and communicates with proper personnel as concerns or issues arise
• Assist QA in locating pallets for sampling
• Keeps equipment and all areas safe, clean, and organized through proper housekeeping
• Performs other related duties as required

Job Requirements

• High School diploma or G.E.D preferred 2-3 year previous forklift manufacturing/production experience.
• Must be available to work various shifts if needed and be able to work nights, weekends, and overtime to cover absences or provide additional support.
• Good oral and written communications skills.
• Good record keeping skills.
• Good listening skills.
• Ability to understand and speak basic English.
• Ability to work with a team or individually without issue.
• Must be Crown certified to operate powered industrial trucks.

May be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
