Job summary

New Castle Building Products (NCBP) is a full-service distributor with locations from Massachusetts to Baltimore. Our East Berlin, CT location is seeking a full-time Warehouse/Forklift Operator to function in a dynamic warehouse environment and support order fulfillment.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading trucks, fulfilling customer orders, stocking pallets, counting inventory, and safely operating a forklift.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds regularly.
• Experience with loading/unloading building materials.
• Able to count inventory and operate safely.

• Fulfilling customer orders from stock based on work orders.
• Load building materials onto pallets and shelves for delivery or receipt into the warehouse.
• Assist in counting of physical inventory.
• Operate forklift in a safe manner with proper safety equipment.
• Organize warehouse for orderliness at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Frequent standing, walking, crouching.

Main Job Tasks & Requirements

• Loading and unloading trucks of building materials including the checking-in of material
• Fulfilling customer orders from stock based on work orders
• Load building materials onto pallets and shelves for either delivery or for receipt into the warehouse
• Assist in counting of physical inventory
• Operate forklift in a safe manner with proper safety equipment
• Organize warehouse for orderliness at all times
• You will be expected to perform other duties as assigned
• Frequent standing, walking, crouching

Wage Range: $18 - $24/hour plus additional benefits. In compliance with applicable law, this range is a good faith estimate based on potential employee qualifications, operational needs and other considerations permitted by law.
