Job summary

New Castle Building Products is hiring a Non-CDL Driver (Class D) & Warehouse Operator at our Piscataway, NJ location. You will load/unload building materials, fulfill orders, and drive a local non-CDL truck to customer sites while maintaining safety and accuracy. Prior warehouse or delivery experience is preferred.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 70 pounds, operate forklifts, read work orders, and work well in a fast-paced environment with a focus on customer service and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid driver’s license and DOT Medical Card is a plus.
• Experience in warehouse, delivery, or building materials preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must read and follow delivery paperwork accurately.
• Safety-conscious, dependable, and able to work independently or with a team.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks of building materials and check-in material.
• Fulfill customer orders from stock based on work orders.
• Load materials onto pallets and shelves for delivery or warehouse receipt.
• Safely load and secure materials onto the non-CDL rack-body delivery truck.
• Drive the non-CDL rack-body truck to customer locations and job sites.
• Deliver and safely unload materials while verifying order accuracy.
• Operate warehouse forklifts safely.
• Assist with physical inventory counts and maintain inventory records.

Our location based in Piscataway, NJ is seeking a Non-CDL Driver (Class D) & Warehouse Operator. Candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Order fulfillment experience is a plus. Must be able to operate company vehicles for local deliveries.

MAIN JOB TASKS & REQUIREMENTS:

• Load and unload trucks of building materials including the checking-in of material.
• Fulfill customer orders from stock based on work orders.
• Load building materials onto pallets and shelves for either delivery or for receipt into the warehouse.
• Safely load and secure building materials onto the non-CDL rack-body delivery truck.
• Drive the company non-CDL rack-body truck to customer locations and job sites.
• Deliver and safely unload building materials while verifying order accuracy.
• Operate warehouse forklifts safely.
• Assist with physical inventory counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Follow all company driving, warehouse, and safety policies and procedures.
• Provide professional and courteous service to customers and job-site personnel.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid driver’s license.
• DOT Medical Card is a plus.
• Previous warehouse, delivery, building materials, or related experience preferred.
• Ability to safely lift, carry, and move building materials weighing up to 70 pounds.
• Ability to read and accurately follow work orders and delivery paperwork.
• Dependable, punctual, safety-conscious, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to perform both warehouse and local non-CDL delivery duties in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, crouch, climb, and lift.

Wage Range: $20-$26/hour plus additional benefits.In compliance with applicable law, this range is a good faith estimate based on potential employee qualifications, operational needs, and other considerations permitted by law.
