Capitol Distributing in Caldwell, Idaho is seeking a hardworking Forklift Operator to safely move pallets and materials in a 300,000-square-foot distribution center. You will operate a forklift, verify orders, and support inventory accuracy while complying with safety standards.

The role includes full-time schedules with one weekend day; overtime may be required. Benefits cover PTO, holidays, 401k, health plans, tuition reimbursement, and performance bonuses.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of forklift experience.
• Standing forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to handle equipment safely and sensibly.
• Ability to attend and pass onsite forklift driving training as requested.
• Must be able to work other jobs within the warehouse as needed.
• Must be able to work occasional overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Obtain distribution of orders and identify, verify, and transport requested materials, equipment, or pallets accordingly.
• Identify and transport requested materials to and from various locations including trucks, storage bays, and staging areas.
• Operate forklift safely adhering to loading capacities.
• Communicate with supervisor and floors lead on a regular basis to meet business objectives.
• Ensure accuracy of product inventory and storage through placing items in assigned locations.
• May log and stock products daily using scanning devices.
• Operators may fill other positions as needed.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 an hour + bonuses and differentials.

Join Capitol Distributing as a Forklift Operator and play an important role in keeping our 300,000-square-foot distribution center moving. In this position, you’ll operate a forklift to safely transport, store, stage, and load products throughout the warehouse while helping maintain accurate inventory and efficient operations. We’re looking for an experienced forklift operator who puts safety first, works well in a fast-paced environment, and is willing to jump in wherever needed to support the warehouse team.

Schedule: Full-time including 1 weekend day. Overtime may be required based on business needs and operational demands.

Capitol Distributing is the largest convenience wholesale distributor in Idaho. Founded in 1983, Capitol delivers to retailers across the Western United States from its 300,000 square foot distribution center in Caldwell, Idaho.

Working Conditions:

Forklift drivers at Capitol will work in regular or freezer temperatures. Individuals working in freezer conditions will be provided with adequate cold gear and receive additional hourly differentials. Capitol uses standing forklifts to move pallets of materials in narrow & crowded areas. This role will require general physical movement such as frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting, and reaching, lifting 70+Lbs, and overhead lifting. This position repetitively uses both hands by grasping products and loading the product on the forklift. The employees will frequently bend, twist, stoop, and frequently get on and off the lift. The individual will also be expected to follow and understand basic instructions/policies.
