Job summary

Ryder Supply Chain Solutions in Charlotte, NC seeks a Reach Truck Operator to join our warehouse team. You will operate reach trucks and other equipment, pick and stage orders, and ensure accuracy and safety on every shift.

We offer weekly pay, medical/dental/vision, 401(k) with company match, PTO, and ongoing training. Overtime may be available with short notice to support customer needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Two years of warehouse and powered industrial lift experience required.
• Ability to read, do basic mathematics, understand and respond to written and verbal instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and apply WMS order instructions.
• Recognize and correct potential process errors.
• Recognize damaged product and take action.
• Pull orders accurately as assigned.
• Stage orders and verify pallets and locations.
• Prepare receiving, storage and shipping documentation.
• Follow safety policies and procedures.
• May train others in warehouse functions and operate forklift equipment.

Warehouse Forklift Operator / Driver Positions Pay Weekly

• Hourly Pay $20.00 per hour
• Overtime Pay $30.00 per hour
• Schedule: Monday-Friday 6:00am - 4:30pm or 6:00am - 2:30pm and frequent overtime assigned on Saturdays with short notice

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Minimum of two years of related warehouse and powered industrial lift experience required
• Ability to read, do basic mathematics, understand and respond to written and verbal instructions in English for the purposes of safety, work instructions, policies, etc.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
• Ability to input data into computer system
• Work overtime as assigned

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and apply Warehouse Management System (WMS) order instructions
• Recognize and correct potential process errors before actions adversely affect the customer
• Recognize damaged product at any point in the warehousing process and take appropriate action when discovered.
• Pull orders accurately as assigned
• Stage orders according to carrier location and verify: number of pallets picked as well as stage location
• Prepare receiving, storage and shipping documentation retaining product accountability throughout the logistical process
• Be aware of and follow location and work center Safety and Security policies and procedures
• May be required to train others in various warehouse functions, including the safe operation of various powered industrial lift equipmen, perform housekeeping duties and other duties as assigned
• Operate fork-lift equipment or other warehouse machinery
