Ryder is hiring Reach Truck Operators in Charlotte, NC. The role involves operating reach trucks and sit-down forklifts in a warehouse environment with a Monday–Friday schedule and frequent overtime on Saturdays.

Starting pay is $20.00 per hour with overtime at $30.00 per hour; benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and PTO. Training and safety gear are provided as part of a team-focused, safety-first culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of two years of related warehouse and powered industrial lift experience required.
• Ability to read, do basic mathematics, understand and respond to written and verbal instructions in English for safety and work instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Ability to input data into computer system.
• Work overtime as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and apply Warehouse Management System (WMS) order instructions.
• Recognize and correct potential process errors before actions affect the customer.
• Recognize damaged product and take appropriate action.
• Pull orders accurately as assigned.
• Stage orders according to carrier location and verify pallets and stage location.
• Prepare receiving, storage and shipping documentation retaining product accountability.
• Follow Safety and Security policies and procedures.
• May train others in warehouse functions and operate powered industrial lift equipment.

• Prepare receiving, storage and shipping documentation retaining product accountability throughout the logistical process
• Be aware of and follow location and work center Safety and Security policies and procedures
• May be required to train others in various warehouse functions, including the safe operation of various powered industrial lift equipmen, perform housekeeping duties and other duties as assigned
• Operate fork-lift equipment or other warehouse machinery
