Job summary

Staff Perm is seeking a Warehouse II / Forklift candidate in Austin, TX 78728. Ideal applicants have general warehouse and shipping/receiving experience and can operate a forklift. The role involves receiving, inspecting, packing, recording shipments, and routing materials to the appropriate areas.

A high school diploma or GED is required; forklift experience and certification are preferred. Pay rate is $20.00 per hour with hours from 7:30am to 4:30pm, Monday–Friday.

Warehouse II / Forklift

The best fit is someone that has general warehouse, shipping / receiving experience with Forklift Operation. PAY RATE: 20.00 hour

HOURS: 7:30am to 4:30pm M-F

DUTIES

• Under general supervision, performs manual and clerical duties related to the shipment and receipt of materials, supplies, equipment and finished products.


• Receives goods, verifies items against the record of shipment, and inspects condition.


• Gathers, verifies, and packs items for shipment according to specifications and the transportation method used. Records received and shipped items according to established procedures.


• Routes materials, supplies and equipment to inspection or stock areas.


• Completes written and computerized documentation.

REQUIREMENTS

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.


• Drug Test

• Forklift certification - preferred


• Sit down and/or Stand Up Forklift

ABILITIES

• Knows typical shipping and receiving procedures and can handle some exceptions.


• Requires basic reading, writing and numerical ability.


• Valid driver's license with good driving record may be required.


• Able to operate powered equipment such as forklift or hydraulic jack lift.


• Effective verbal communication skills.


• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
