Job summary

Staff Perm is seeking a Warehouse II with Stand Up Forklift experience for our Hobart, IN site. You will handle shipping and receiving, verify shipments, and prepare items for dispatch while maintaining accurate records.

The role operates Monday through Friday, 7:30am–4:30pm, with a pay rate of $20.00 per hour and benefits. This position offers potential conversion to full-time through Staff Perm in time.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Forklift certification preferred; Stand Up Forklift required.
• Background check and drug test required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform shipping and receiving duties under supervision.
• Receive goods, verify against shipment records, inspect condition.
• Pack items for shipment and record receipts accurately.
• Route materials to inspection or stock areas and complete documentation.

DUTIES

• Under general supervision, performs manual and clerical duties related to the shipment and receipt of materials, supplies, equipment and finished products.


• Receives goods, verifies items against the record of shipment, and inspects condition.


• Gathers, verifies, and packs items for shipment according to specifications and the transportation method used. Records received and shipped items according to established procedures.


• Routes materials, supplies and equipment to inspection or stock areas.


• Completes written and computerized documentation.

REQUIREMENTS

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.

ABILITIES

• Knows typical shipping and receiving procedures and can handle some exceptions.


• Requires basic reading, writing and numerical ability.


• Valid driver's license with good driving record may be required.


• Able to operate powered equipment such as forklift or hydraulic jack lift.


• Effective verbal communication skills.


• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
