Job summary

Americold is seeking a Warehouse Operations professional in Iowa to allocate orders, release work to the warehouse floor and balance workflow for optimal productivity. The role requires at least 1 year of warehouse experience or a GED/high school diploma, plus familiarity with Americold systems, WMS, and MS Office. Travel may be required for business needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, or 1 year of warehouse operations experience.
• Proficiency with basic PC software and Americold systems.
• Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to train users on relevant systems and troubleshoot problems.

Responsibilities

• Allocate orders and release work to the warehouse floor to balance workflow and productivity.
• Resolve order shortages and manage order cuts while updating customers.
• Prioritize tasks for Lift Truck Operators and Dock Supervisors to ensure efficiency.
• Ensure dock office uses inbound/outbound dock optimization for each receipt and order.
• Run labor reports and review with Dock Supervisors and Office Manager to monitor performance.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects and safety programs and troubleshoot systems.
• Other essential duties as necessary.
