Job summary

Applied Industrial Technologies in Florence, KY is seeking a Team Leader to act as the on-floor extension of the Distribution Center Supervisor. This hands-on role drives day-to-day execution, safety, accuracy, and efficiency on the warehouse floor.

You will translate daily priorities into action, guide warehouse associates, support start-ups and workload balancing, and provide real-time feedback while stepping in as the lead when the supervisor is unavailable.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of relevant warehouse experience, including supervisory exposure.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; safety-focused.
• Detail-oriented, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Forklift experience/certification and valid driver’s license are preferred.
• Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Excel is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary on‑floor support to the DC Supervisor for execution.
• Support daily start‑ups, task sequencing, and workload balancing to meet targets.
• Provide real‑time operational feedback on workflow, staffing, and issues.
• Lead on the floor when the DC Supervisor is unavailable; manage daily operations.
• Pick, pack, and ship customer orders accurately and on time.
• Support internal and inter‑branch shipments and receive inbound materials.
• Package assemblies and receive finished goods; ensure inventory movements are accurate.
• Support cycle counts, inventory reconciliation, and variance investigations.
• Validate shipment labeling and documentation prior to release.
