Job summary

Americold Logistics, LLC. seeks a maintenance technician to perform general maintenance and repair tasks across the warehouse, including battery and charger upkeep, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry, while ensuring safety and OSHA compliance.

You will manage battery changes, operate forklifts and pallet jacks, inspect and lubricate machinery, and maintain tools and safety equipment, requiring basic mechanical knowledge, good documentation, and the ability to follow instructions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Basic mechanical knowledge and aptitude.
• Mathematical calculation and documentation skills.
• Basic computer skills including email, internet searches, and data entry.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair batteries and chargers in accordance with OSHA standards.
• Facilitate and manage the battery changing process within the warehouse.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and battery chargers as needed.
• Clean and lubricate machinery parts to ensure proper functioning.
• Maintain tools and machinery in good working condition.
• Test safety equipment to ensure compliance with OSHA standards.
• Participate in HAZMAT responder training as required.
• Other essential duties may be applicable and assigned as necessary.
