Job summary

SanMar is seeking a Warehouse Equipment Operator III in Ashland, VA. The role involves unloading and loading trailers, operating powered lift equipment, and using RF systems with High Jump to track products and resolve issues.

A 4–6 year warehouse background and forklift experience are expected, with mandatory OSHA lift certification and team-oriented, safety-focused performance. You will also handle order preparation, reporting for exception handling, and occasional cross-functional tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 4–6 years in a warehouse environment; loading/unloading trailers.
• 1–3 years experience operating forklift or heavy equipment.
• Complete and maintain SanMar Lift Operator Certification per OSHA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Unload/load trailers using powered lift equipment.
• Prepare orders by processing requests, pulling materials and packing boxes.
• Generate reports to support error resolution in receiving processes.
• Support distribution center tasks including inventory, invoicing and shipments.
• Inspect equipment daily and ensure return in good condition.
• Maintain a safe, compliant warehouse environment and report concerns.
