Job summary

GSC Wholesale LLC, based in Houston, seeks a Warehouse Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead safety and security programs across the distribution center. You will integrate EHS and Security initiatives, supervise guards, and drive investigations while aligning with corporate policies.

The role covers managing safety performance, coordinating with the Security Director and Regional EHS Manager, and ensuring DOT and environmental compliance in a high-volume warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics & Transportation.
• 7–10 years in retail operations, distribution, transportation, logistics, security, safety management or related field.
• Two or more years of Transportation safety experience; strong understanding of DOT, Yard Safety, DOT compliance and accident investigation.

Responsibilities

• Create high service and productivity expectations among team members, monitor performance and address gaps.
• Assess daily and weekly work habits, identify trends in accidents and direct allocation of people to address issues.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for team members and visitors in accordance with policies and health and safety regulations.
• Review and evaluate performance of functions, address gaps and take corrective action to ensure safety and security goals.
• Assess business conditions and opportunities to improve service, reduce costs and enhance safety and security results.
• Maintain knowledge of physical security systems (CCTV, alarms, fire protection) to detect and resolve issues.
• Oversee scheduling of work teams and plan with supervisors to meet business needs under changing conditions.
