Job summary

Amcor LLC is seeking a warehouse associate to maintain a safe, clean, and accurate shipping environment and to track inventory for load scheduling. The role requires forklift certification and adherence to GMP/SQF and safety procedures to ensure on-time delivery.

You will communicate issues to customers and carriers, manage pallet movement, and participate in emergency response. Amcor values safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

  • Track inventory for load scheduling and staging transfers.
  • Communicate customer or carrier issues affecting on-time delivery.
  • Understand DC link, pallet movement, loading, staging, transfers.
  • Understand the NCMR process and customer Pick Slips.
  • Be forklift certified and perform battery care (charging, watering).
  • Adhere to GMP and SQF compliance and safety procedures.
  • Respond to emergencies and ensure security of facility and equipment.

Job Description

The purpose of this position is to maintain a safe, clean, and accurate warehouse and shipping environment. Responsible for tracking inventory for load scheduling. Responsible for communicating all customer or carrier issues to include stock issues, trailer defects, and all other issues that would affect or prevent any on-time delivery. Must understand DC link as it relates to shipments (loading), staging, transfers, and pallet movement. Must understand the NCMR process. Must understand customer Pick Slip. Must be certified to operate a forklift. Must have been trained and successfully passed the written test and performance evaluation. Is responsible for battery care to include charging and watering batteries. Perform any additional responsibilities assigned by management that the employee has been trained to perform. Responsible for maintaining and adhering to established Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP) and Safety Quality Foods (SQF) compliance requirements. Responsible for adhering to Food Safety Compliance. Respond to any emergency or potential emergency. Security diligence, including maintaining control of door accesses, preventing unauthorized entry to the facility by non-Amcor employees and proper maintenance/security of Amcor equipment and information. Constant vigilance and participation in GMP and SQF practices. Assist in the prevention of nonconforming product from being shipped to customers. Identify and record problems relating to product, process and quality systems. Initiate action to prevent occurrences of any non-conformity of product or quality systems. Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels. Suggest actions for continual improvement to products, processes or systems and very the implementation of solutions.

Compensation: $19/hr
