Job summary

UPS in Birmingham is hiring for a Warehouse Worker / Cover Driver. This dual-role position trains you to perform both warehouse tasks and occasional driving duties, with rotation based on business needs and seasonal demand.

Your primary assignment will be warehouse work, with opportunities to serve as a cover driver when needed. You will typically work 3.5–5 hours for warehouse shifts and 8–10 hours for driving shifts, Monday through Friday or Tuesday through Saturday.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Valid driver's license (no CDL required)
• Pass DOT physical and UPS driver test
• Excellent customer contact and driving skills
• Authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload packages in a fast-paced warehouse
• Sort and move packages to prepare for shipping
• Report for warehouse shifts when not driving
• Deliver and pick up packages as a cover driver, providing good customer service
