Job summary

Berkel & Company Contractors, Inc. in Union Bridge, MD is seeking a dependable Delivery Driver to support shop and field operations. This role will transport construction materials, tools, equipment, and supplies to jobsites across the Baltimore-Washington metro area, with occasional trips to Northern Virginia.

You should be comfortable driving in city and highway traffic, assist with loading and unloading, and maintain safety and paperwork. CDL a plus; reliability and teamwork are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist around the shop with loading, unloading, organizing materials when not delivering.
• Follow all safety policies and traffic regulations.
• If driving is not needed, perform basic shop tasks or assist teammates.

Position Summary

Berkeley & Company Contractors, Inc. is seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Delivery Driver to support our shop and field operations. This position will primarily operate out of our Union Bridge, MD location and will be responsible for transporting construction materials, tools, equipment, and supplies to jobsites and other locations throughout the region. Regular delivery areas include Baltimore, Washington, D.C., Northern Virginia, and surrounding areas. We are looking for someone who is reliable, organized, comfortable driving in both city and highway traffic, and willing to assist with loading and unloading as needed. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience and are comfortable towing trailers. Driver will assume basic shop tasks if a driver is not needed for the day (mechanic work, job prep, job demobilization etc. ). Reliable and regular attendance is required.

Responsibilities

• Make deliveries throughout Baltimore, Washington, D.C., Northern Virginia, and other local/regional areas.

Job Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a clean and acceptable driving record.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Comfortable driving throughout the Baltimore–Washington metropolitan area, including Northern Virginia.
• Ability to safely load, unload, and secure construction materials and equipment.
• Ability to perform the physical requirements associated with deliveries and shop work.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Construction, equipment, warehouse, or delivery experience is preferred but not required.
• Experience towing and backing trailers is strongly preferred.
• Experience hauling construction equipment or materials is preferred
• Familiarity with proper load securement and trailer safety.
• CDL or other relevant driving qualifications are a plus, depending on the vehicles and equipment operated.
