Job summary

Berkel & Company Contractors, Inc. in Union Bridge, MD is seeking a dependable Delivery Driver to support shop and field operations. This role will transport construction materials, tools, equipment, and supplies to jobsites across the Baltimore-Washington metro area, with occasional trips to Northern Virginia.

You should be comfortable driving in city and highway traffic, assist with loading and unloading, and maintain safety and paperwork. CDL a plus; reliability and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Dependable, punctual and able to work independently.
• Comfortable driving in city and highway traffic.
• Ability to load, secure, and unload materials and equipment.
• Experience towing and backing trailers preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport construction materials, tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Make deliveries to jobsites and other locations in the region.
• Load, secure, transport, and unload materials and equipment safely.
• Perform basic pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and trailers.
• Properly secure loads before transportation.
• Maintain awareness of vehicle, trailer, load, and roadway safety.
• Communicate with shop personnel and crews regarding pickups, deliveries, and delays.
• Obtain delivery paperwork, receipts, signatures, or other documentation.
• Keep vehicles clean and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
• Assist around the shop with loading, unloading, organizing materials when not delivering.
• Follow all safety policies and traffic regulations.
• If driving is not needed, perform basic shop tasks or assist teammates.
