Job summary

The position includes early-morning shifts, occasional Saturdays, and overtime as needed. A valid license and ability to lift up to 80 lbs are required, with forklift training possible.

Qualifications

• 3 years of related supervisory experience.
• Ability to supervise drivers and material handlers.
• Knowledge of state and federal DOT regulations.
• Ability to learn computer systems.
• Willing to work overtime or flexible hours on short notice.
• Strong memory and scanning abilities.
• Good communication and math skills.
• Able to lift up to 80lbs.
• Able to learn to use a forklift.
• Requires valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Pre-employment drug test required.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership to assigned personnel through goal setting, performance reviews, delegation, and communication.
• Conducts interviews, hiring and training as necessary.
• Supports the safety programs to ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Assists with process improvement initiatives.
• Conducts regular meetings to ensure employees are informed of policies and procedures and enforces productivity standards.
• Ensure excellent customer service and communication.
• Ensure drivers complete all required daily paperwork.
• Dispatch: assign product to be pulled by material handlers and route paperwork accordingly.
• Ensure drivers complete COD logs and communicate with CSR’s, Sales, Customers and Drivers.
• Fleet: monitor DOT regulations, PM scheduling, and repairs to stay compliant.
• Operate power equipment, including forklift; may back up as driver.
