Job summary

Rexel USA is hiring for a Warehouse Associate/Truck Driver I in New Brunswick, NJ. The role focuses on accurate order fulfillment, receiving, stocking, and shipping while maintaining safety and security standards.

The position includes a significant driving component, delivering to customers and suppliers with a delivery van or box truck, up to half the time. The ideal candidate can operate warehouse equipment, communicate effectively with coworkers, and follow SOPs and DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• Prior warehouse experience a plus.
• Certification to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must pass a pre-employment and annual Motor Vehicle Record review.
• Must obtain verification of non-expired medical certificate as required by law within 30 days of hire.
• Must not have had a suspended driver's license for a traffic accident/violation within the past 3 years.
• Must not have any at fault accidents in the past 3 years.
• High School or GED - Preferred

Responsibilities

• Support safety-focused culture and environment daily.
• Follow SOPs and Environmental Health and Safety rules; address safety concerns immediately.
• Receive materials and verify quantities against packing lists.
• Stock incoming orders and report freight damage.
• Prepare branch orders for shipment and ensure correct items are shipped.
• Process shipment paperwork and ensure correct labeling and delivery instructions are followed.
• Operate equipment such as forklift and reach truck when required.
• Load/ unload vehicles and inspect deliveries for damage.
• Conduct inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Deliver to customers and company locations as needed, up to 50% of time.
• Inspect company vehicle and complete daily inspection reports.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform basic maintenance.
• Adhere to DOT and driving laws; ensure material accuracy and damage-free condition prior to departure.
• Assist in preparing orders for delivery and handle returns as needed.
• Complete all required documentation at delivery (receipts, packing lists).
• Support other branch duties including counter sales and customer support as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned
