Job summary

Nature's Bakery, part of the Mars family, is seeking a Warehouse Coordinator to support daily warehousing operations at our new manufacturing facility. You will serve as the systems expert for warehouse processes, train staff, and drive efficient material flow in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include third-party logistics coordination, SOP development, inventory checks, and SAP transaction handling.

• Collaborate with 3PL providers to manage dock appointments for inbound/outbound deliveries.
• Serve as the technical and systems point of contact for warehouse associates, guiding and resolving issues.
• Support day-to-day warehouse operations across the team.
• Assist in developing and refining SOPs for warehouse operations.
• Train team members on best practices, safety, and efficiency.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and present solutions to management.
• Conduct routine inventory checks, adjustments, and troubleshooting discrepancies.
• Collaborate with Quality, Food Safety, Inventory Controller, and Logistics to maintain accurate records.
• Act as the SAP expert for warehouse shipping/receiving transactions (goods issue/receipts, bin transfers).
• Track and report KPIs for warehouse efficiency and accuracy.
• Support the warehouse supervisor and site inventory controller; weekend coverage per escalation protocol.
• Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Job Overview:

The Warehouse Coordinator plays a hands-on role in supporting day-to-day warehousing operations at Nature's Bakery's new Manufacturing Facility. This role focuses on building capability in warehouse associates, supporting inventory management, providing WMS/Inventory systems expertise, improving processes, and ensuring smooth material flow in a fast-paced environment. The Warehouse Coordinator serves as a role model for systems knowledge, dependability, adaptability, and adherence to company policies, contributing to a safe and productive workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

Warehouse Operations:

• Collaborate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to manage dock appointments for inbound and outbound deliveries.
• Serve as the technical and systems point of contact for warehouse associates, providing guidance and resolving issues as needed.
• Support the warehouse team in all aspects of day-to-day operations.

Process Improvement:

• Assist in developing and refining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for warehouse operations.
• Train team members on best practices, emphasizing safety and efficiency.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend solutions to management.

Inventory Management:

• Conduct routine inventory checks, including adjustments and troubleshooting discrepancies.
• Collaborate with Quality and Food Safety, Inventory Controller, and Logistics teams to maintain accurate inventory records.
• Assist the inventory controller in weekly cycle counts and support annual physical inventory processes.
• Serve as the expert in warehouse SAP transactions for shipping and receiving, such as goods issue, goods receipts, bin-to-bin transfers, and consumptions.

KPI Monitoring & Reporting:

• Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) for warehouse efficiency and accuracy.
• Provide feedback and recommendations based on data to improve team performance.
• Actively participate in warehouse daily connection points.

Team Leadership:

• Support the warehouse supervisor and site inventory controller by building capability in warehouse associates to bridge skill gaps and encourage development
• Serve as weekend point of contact for warehouse operations, following the site escalation protocol.
• Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Act as a change agent by encouraging innovative ideas and solutions.
• Other duties, as assigned.
