Job summary

Phoenix Rescue Mission is seeking a hands-on, servant-hearted warehouse operations team member in Phoenix, AZ. You will coordinate daily donation flows, lead volunteers, and operate vehicles for pickups and deliveries while maintaining safety and accuracy.

Ideal candidates have at least one year in warehouse or logistics, forklift and box truck experience, and a strong customer-service mindset. This role requires physical outdoor work in Arizona conditions and a commitment to the Mission\'s

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum one year of warehouse, logistics, distribution, or related operational experience preferred.
  • Minimum one year of experience operating a box truck or similar commercial vehicle required.
  • Experience leading, training, or directing volunteers, work crews, or program participants preferred.
  • Forklift and pallet jack experience preferred, or the ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification.
  • Valid driver\'s license with an acceptable driving record and the ability to become and remain an approved Mission driver.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills and enjoy building positive relationships with donors, volunteers, clients, and teammates.
  • Understanding of safe warehouse operations, inventory management, and material handling practices.
  • Comfortable working in a physically demanding warehouse environment, including lifting materials and working outdoors in Arizona weather conditions.
  • Personal commitment to Jesus Christ and alignment with Mission\'s Statement of Faith.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the daily flow of warehouse operations, ensuring donations are received, processed, organized, and distributed efficiently.
  • Provide day-to-day direction, training, and encouragement to Work Therapy clients and volunteers while promoting safety and productivity.
  • Safely operate Mission vehicles to complete donation pick-ups and deliveries with excellent customer service.
  • Maintain warehouse organization, inventory accuracy, vehicle inspections, and safety standards for stewardship of donated resources.
  • Collaborate with Mission departments and partners to support distribution needs and timely fulfillment of requests.
  • Model hospitality and stewardship through daily interactions and ministry activities.
