Job description

Job Title: Warehouse Coordinator / Associate

Contract Duration: 2 Months

Work Type: Onsite

Location: Valdosta, GA

Schedule: Mon-Fri, 7 am to 3 pm EST

Summary
  • This is an opportunity to work with an experienced team dedicated to ensuring clients' commercial roofing systems arrive on time.
  • The Warehouse Associate reports to the Supply Chain Manager in a busy, team-oriented environment.
  • Must be familiar with forklift operations for safe loading and unloading trucks.
  • Responsible for accurate order picking, verification, and safe loading of vehicles.
  • Ideal candidates prioritize safety, quality, service, and cost, with a focus on customer satisfaction and on-time deliveries.
Schedule
  • Day shifts, Monday through Friday, with hours subject to change based on needs.
  • Must be able to work extended hours and occasional holidays/weekends.
Education/Experience
  • High school diploma required.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a fast-paced logistics or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience supporting logistics, customer care, and business goals.
  • Forklift certification preferred.
Essential Duties
  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards and procedures.
  • Work safely, report incidents, and practice accident prevention.
  • Maintain forklift certification through training and daily checks.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized.
  • Coordinate with the Shipping Lead for work prioritization.
  • Participate in inventory cycle counts and adhere to FIFO principles.
  • Prepare products for shipment, including packing and palletizing.
  • Ensure correct product delivery by reviewing documentation.
  • Wrap pallets securely and verify shipment quantities.
  • Follow safety procedures for loading/unloading and hazardous materials handling.
  • Report issues and suggest process improvements.
  • Maintain good attendance and positive relationships with colleagues.
  • Use process improvement tools for continuous improvement.
  • Follow hazardous materials transportation guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Technical Knowledge/Skills
  • Problem-solving skills for logistics challenges.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite.
  • Knowledge of warehouse practices and forklift operation.

  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.
Additional Notes
  • Candidate must provide safety shoes; PPE provided.
