About the Role
As a CBRE Warehouse Coordinator, you'll provide service and support to warehouse operations by handling shipping, receiving, inventory management, and internal material deliveries. This position supports a scientific research facility, ensuring the timely and accurate movement of materials, supplies, and equipment throughout the site.
This job is part of the Supply Chain function, responsible for maximizing the effectiveness and efficiency of the organization's supply chain operations.
What You'll Do
- Assist with loading and unloading merchandise, materials, and supplies from trucks and delivery vehicles.
- Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, to move inventory safely and efficiently.
- Support internal deliveries across a scientific research facility, ensuring materials reach designated departments and laboratories.
- Pack, unpack, process, scan, and shelve incoming shipments.
- Pull orders and accurately enter information into inventory control and warehouse management systems.
- Maintain warehouse records, inventory counts, and documentation to ensure data accuracy.
- Perform physical inventory checks and audit warehouse inventory reports to ensure accurate system accounting.
- Label materials and products in accordance with established procedures.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse and storage areas, including sweeping and mopping floors.
- Consolidate existing stock and optimize storage space utilization.
- Assist with general facility maintenance, including light painting, carpentry, and basic tool repairs.
- Utilize warehouse technology, inventory systems, Microsoft Office applications, and handheld scanning devices to manage inventory and track shipments.
- Follow established procedures to solve routine problems while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Deliver work by following defined processes and operating procedures under close supervision and guidance.
What You'll Need
- High School Diploma or GED with up to 2 years of related warehouse, logistics, or inventory experience.
- Forklift experience required; equipment certification for forklifts, aerial lifts, and power pallet jacks may be required.
- Experience working in a general warehouse environment, including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and material handling.
- Strong technology skills with the ability to learn and utilize warehouse management systems, inventory tracking tools, handheld scanners, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience maintaining inventory records and ensuring inventory accuracy.
- Physical ability to stoop, stand, climb, and frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to follow established work routines, processes, and safety standards.
- Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills to exchange straightforward information with team members and customers.
- Basic math skills, including the ability to calculate percentages, discounts, and markups.
