Job summary

Badger Meter is seeking a warehouse associate to manage daily warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, cycle counts, and inventory organization.

The role requires a high school diploma, 0-1 years of related experience, and basic MS Excel/Outlook/Word skills. You will coordinate shipments, maintain product records, and support a safe, efficient supply chain.

What You Will Contribute:

Job Duties:

  • Take responsibility for all daily activities related to warehouse function, including but not limited to - shipping, receiving, cycle counts & overall organization of warehouse.
  • Enter received product into Badger Meter’s system.
  • Report any damaged receiving goods to freight shipment companies to open claims and tracking these through resolution.
  • Schedule outgoing freight shipments.
  • Coordinate with customer’s when they would like to receive shipments and notify the freight carrier.
  • Perform daily cycle counts and investigating any discrepancies with quantities or bin locations - work with branch manager to help plan for inventory getting low on specific products.
  • Learn different customers specific specifications to correctly fulfill orders shipped out of the warehouse.
  • Organize and maintain returned product and non-conformance inventory to accurate reflect counts. Responsible for processing through completion.
  • Load/unload freight and/or packages from delivery/pickup vehicles; this may require employee to work overtime to receive the last truck.
  • Liaison between the shipping staff, internal departments, and freight forwarders to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders. Arranges transportation schedules with carriers.
  • Use appropriate packaging materials to ensure all products/parts are properly packaged to prevent damage and/or loss.
  • Complete pre-packaging and/or final packaging of customer orders.

Education and Experience:

  • High school degree/GED required
  • 0-1 years of related experience preferred
