Job summary

Cherokee Millwright is seeking a Warehouse Coordinator in Maryville, TN to manage day-to-day warehouse operations and inventory control. You will keep accurate records, assist with shipping/receiving, and ensure safety and organization in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong computer skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with logistics and customer service. On-site position with competitive benefits and room for growth.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Excellent computer skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to plan and multitask with strong organization.
• Ability to operate DOT-compliant transport vehicle and maintain FMCSA standards.
• Experience operating larger delivery trucks under GVWR 26,001 lb.
• Experience operating forklifts and other moving equipment.
• Strong communication skills with cross-department teams.

Responsibilities

• Ensures warehouses are clean, organized, and adheres to safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
• Create/interpret inventory reports and reconcile inventory discrepancies using Excel and/or Warehouse management software.
• Does clerical duties related to shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing and delivering a variety of materials, equipment and supplies.
• Performs physical inventories, investigates and records discrepancies.
• Maintains records for items entering and leaving the warehouse.
• Weighs or counts items for distribution to ensure conformance to company standards.
• Completes paperwork or forms required for documentation to receive materials and verify materials against invoices.
• Enter and maintain inventory records.
• Process requisition forms to determine items to be moved, gathered, or delivered.
• Conveys materials and items from receiving areas to storage or other designated areas.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Conveys materials and items from receiving areas to storage or other designated areas.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Excellent computer skills.
• The ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain an organized workflow.
• Maintain a DOT Health Card [Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC)] and meet all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration's (FMCSA) physical and mental standards to safely operate a commercial vehicle.
• Experience operating larger delivery trucks that are classified as CMVs but do not require a Commercial Driver's License (CDL), such as vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) under 26,001 pounds.
• Experience operating forklifts and other moving equipment.
• Strong communication skills are needed to collaborate with other departments, such as customer service and logistics
• Strong planning and multitasking skills.
• Outstanding organizational skills, flexibility and professionalism

Working Conditions/Physical Effort:

Conditions may include working in shop, busy traffic areas, warehouses, and undeveloped properties, with frequent exposure to dirt, dust, grease, oil, vibrations, and adverse weather conditions. Must be able to safely access all areas of property, including rooftops and other elevated positions as well as, confined spaces. Must be able to effectively use all required PPE equipment and lift up to fifty pounds. Strenuous physical demands are required to safely perform the essential functions associated with this position. Must be able to safely operate all involved equipment and tools. Must be capable of standing for long periods of time, bending consistently, working in confined spaces with limited access, on ladders, in personnel lifts, and working in awkward body positions.
