Job summary

Cook & Boardman, LLC is seeking a Warehouse Coordinator in Memphis to partner with the operations team in reviewing and processing stock control, shipment management, pool management and work order management. The role handles many administrative duties for the total warehouse operation.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or equivalent, 3–5 years of related experience, strong computer skills (MS Office), and the ability to work independently with good written and verbal communication.

• Receive emails for incoming orders, print material labels ahead of receiving, assist with labeling material as it is unloaded

• Line up all quick ship couriers
• Assist with completing closeout documents for the branch
• Other relative duties as assigned

The warehouse coordinator will handle many of the overall administrative duties having to do with the total warehouse operation.

Essential Functions

• Receive emails for incoming orders, print material labels ahead of receiving, assist with labeling material as it is unloaded

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma, or an equivalent combination of education/experience
• Current and valid US driver's license preferred
• At least 3-5 years of experience in similar position

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Self-motivated; able to work with minimal supervision
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office products
• Ability to think independently
• Good communication skills, written and verbal

Physical Demands

Spends more than 2/3 of time standing, kneeling/crouching/stooping, using hands and reaching. Spends approximately 1/3 of time walking and talking/hearing. Frequent lifting required of items 25-50 pounds, and occasional lifting over 50 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Work Environment

Conditions will include proximity to forklifts or other heavy machinery and using various tools and hardware. Subject to frequent heavy lifting. May require driving to project sites. May be exposed to variable weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures.
