Job summary

AVI-SPL is seeking a warehouse/inventory coordinator in New Jersey to enter, track and analyze product and materials, serving as the main contact for shipping, receiving and inventory control. The role supports daily distribution, maintains logs, and processes electronic receipts of equipment on arrival.

You will manage warehouse functions, enter PO information, maintain documentation, and coordinate project pallet prep and staging, while assisting customers and vendors as needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of warehouse or inventory experience.
  • Experience with UPS, FedEx shipping, tracking and receiving. International shipping experience preferred.
  • Must be able to pass forklift certification.
  • Valid Driver’s License and a driving record meeting AVI-SPL standards.

Responsibilities

  • Enter, track and analyze all product and materials; be the point of contact for warehouse shipping, receiving and inventory control.
  • Support daily distribution and processing of reports and correspondence as directed by Manager.
  • Maintain and update equipment and product tracking log.
  • Manage all electronic receipts of equipment/product on arrival.
  • Handle warehouse functions: shipping, receiving and inventory control.
  • Enter receiving PO information and virtual shipments.
  • Maintain inventory documentation and accuracy.
  • Pull inventory for order prep, pre-fabrication, and staging on project pallets.
  • Coordinate and manage equipment maintenance.
  • Answer calls and emails; assist customers, clients and vendors as needed.

Job Summary


  • Responsible for entering, tracking and analyzing all product and associated materials and is the point of contact for all warehouse shipping, receiving, and inventory control


Essential Duties And Responsibilities


  • Support daily distribution and processing of reports and other correspondence as directed by Manager

  • Maintain and update equipment and product tracking log

  • Manage all electronic receipts of equipment/product when it arrives

  • Manage warehouse functions, including, but not limited to shipping, receiving and inventory control

  • Enter all receiving purchase order information and virtual shipments

  • Maintain accurate inventory and documentation for all assigned inventory

  • Responsible for pulling inventory for order prep, pre-fabrication, and staging on project pallets

  • Coordinate and manage the maintenance of equipment

  • Answer all incoming calls and email queries; assisting customers, clients and related vendors as needed

  • Ability to comprehend and apply principles of basic math while analyzing data and generating reports

  • Must have clear and professional communication skills (written and oral) both internally and externally

  • Proficient in windows and Microsoft applications such as MS Word and Excel

  • Ability to balance multiple tasks with changing priorities

  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment

  • Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail

  • Effective communication and interaction with employees, clients, and colleagues and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization

  • Demonstrated customer service focus and client communication skills


Education And/or Experience


  • Minimum High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Minimum 2 years of Warehouse or inventory experience

  • Experience with UPS, FedEx shipping, tracking and receiving. International shipping experience is preferred

  • Must be able to pass and complete internal forklift certification

  • Valid Driver’s License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets AVI-SPL Driving Privileges standards

  • Requires sitting, walking, standing, crawling, reaching, and the ability to lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Requires the ability to squat occasionally

  • Requires the ability to use ladders up to 20 feet frequently

  • Requires the ability to operate warehouse machinery


Special note: This position will require constant use of OSHA-approved footwear, following current company policy for company subsidy toward initial cost. Please check with corporate safety for details.
