Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Warehouse Team Lead in Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin. The role offers weekly pay and benefits with a first shift, Monday–Friday, 6:00 am–2:30 pm.

You will lead daily warehouse operations, support data software/tools usage, and uphold safety and quality in a fast-paced, team-driven environment. Ideal candidates have 1+ year of forklift/warehouse experience, team leadership ability, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and RF scanners.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ year powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• 1+ year experience as Team Lead preferred.
• 1+ year Microsoft Office experience (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).
• 1+ year warehouse experience preferred.
• RF scanner experience required or advanced.
• Valid forklift operator's license certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexible, independent, and team-oriented leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead and drive continuous improvement for operational efficiency.
• Perform warehouse tasks: loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, cycle counting.
• Allocate resources and assign daily work to meet shift goals.
• Inspire staff toward KPI improvements using appropriate leadership styles.
• Provide orientation and tools to employees to perform their roles.
• Promote health and safety practices within the warehouse.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Submit daily reports and propose actions to enhance operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• One (1) year or more powered industrial truck experience preferred


• One (1) year or more previous experience as Team Lead preferred


• One (1) year or more Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) preferred


• One (1) year or more previous warehouse experience preferred


• Knowledge and/or experience with an RF scanner advanced required


• Valid forklift operator's license certified

Responsibilities

• Lead and ensure continuous improvement efforts for optimal efficiency of the operations.


• Perform warehouse function, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and, cycle counting.


• Allocate resources and organize and distribute daily work duties to members to ensure optimal shift/team operational logistics.


• Inspire and guide team members towards improved Key Performance Indicator (KPI’s) using the appropriate leadership styles and methods.


• Assist in proving appropriate orientation for employees and give them the necessary information, technology and tools to perform their jobs.


• Assist with promoting health and safety working methods within the warehouse.


• Deal with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).


• Complete and submit daily reports and propose action plans to enhance operations effectiveness and service levels.


• Performs other duties as assigned.
