Job summary

Rush Enterprises, Inc. is hiring a Warehouse Clerk in Carol Stream, IL. The role supports inventory accuracy, records, and customer service while enabling growth within our operations.

You will handle stock checks, packing slips, and ensure parts are properly tagged and stored. Responsibilities include receiving shipments, processing inter-branch transfers, pulling customer orders, and maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds or more.
• Three months’ related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current and valid driver license with insurability.
• Must complete forklift training and certification within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Receive and verify all incoming shipments by matching counts to packing slips and entering into the system.
• Process and store incoming stock within 24 hours, barcode and place in correct bin locations.
• Assign locations and update the system for all new parts; label and organize accordingly.
• Check in and process inter-branch shipments, generate picking lists, stage parts for delivery.
• Pull customer orders and prepare them for will call, shipment, or delivery.
• Maintain a clean, organized warehouse and follow safety policies.
• Manage will-call bins and keep parts and paperwork organized.
• Process junk cores by tagging, storing, and returning to vendors weekly.
• Dispatch drivers and provide accurate driving directions as needed.
• Process customer returns and ensure parts are in resale condition.
• File freight claims for shortages or damaged parts within 24 hours.
• Serve as backup Parts Driver when needed.
• Pull, package, and ship vendor returns.
