Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Warehouse Clerk in Newnan, Georgia, offering weekly pay and comprehensive benefits. The role includes second shift from Sunday to Thursday, 2:00 pm – 10:00 pm, with forklift operation and clerical responsibilities in a clean, safety-focused facility.

We seek candidates with at least a high school diploma and 1+ year of clerical/warehouse experience, plus forklift and Microsoft Office proficiency. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year clerical or warehouse experience preferred.
• 1+ year forklift experience preferred.
• 1+ year Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to build professional relationships at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities with clerks from other areas, customers, or suppliers.
• Use WMS to update area or shift metrics.
• Generate daily, weekly, or monthly reports and summaries.
• Perform floor work and additional duties as assigned.
• Handle basic administrative tasks and maintain filing systems.
• Gather information from floor employees and share with the team.
• Coordinate meetings and communications for the area or shift.
• Perform other duties as assigned depending on location.

• Hourly Pay $19.50 per hour
• Additional Pay: $1.50 per hour when assigned to second shift
• Schedule: Second Shift Sunday - Thursday; 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One (1) year or more clerical or warehouse experience preferred
• One (1) year or more experience operating forklift equipment preferred
• One (1) year or more Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates customer service skills.
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors).
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment.

• Using the location's WMS system updates area or shift metrics as needed.
• Generates daily, weekly or monthly reports, memos, and summaries often of a technical and/or confidential nature.
• Floor work and additional duties as assigned.
• Performs basic administrative tasks for area or shift. Maintains filing systems and documents.
• Gathers from and provides information to floor employees in his/her area of support.
• Coordinatesactivities/meetings/communicationfor the specific area or shift.
• Performs other duties as assigned depending on area supported or if location specific.
