Job description

• Assist in tracking purchase orders for the plant.
• Ensure essential materials, equipment, and tools are kept in stock and available for use.
• Assist in the purchase of stockroom merchandise.
• Coordinate services for re-use, disposal, and re-charge of items such as fire extinguishers, lubrication dispensers, biohazard containers, forklift repairs, LP tanks, etc.
• Contribute to cost-saving initiatives, inventory control methods, and re-order supply systems.
• Handle materials from delivery trucks and prepare them for storage or transfer within the facility.
• Track inventory levels, update records, and conduct periodic physical inventories.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory, supplies, and material usage.
• Communicate with vendors and contractors to support production operations.
• Inform the supervisor and next shift employees about operational details to ensure safety, efficiency, and quality.
• Handle hazardous waste safely and in accordance with training and certification.
• Create and maintain a housekeeping schedule to ensure cleanliness standards are met.
• Assist in maintaining grounds and lawn equipment for mowing, weed control, watering, and exterior cleaning.
• Follow safety protocols and report hazards or incidents promptly.

Physical Requirements

Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds and similar exertion. Ability to move equipment and products as needed.
