BrightKey is looking to hire a Warehouse Clerk to grow our team in Washington, DC. The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate handling of products within the warehouse. This role involves pick/pack operations, palletizing goods for shipment, operating various warehouse equipment, and maintaining inventory accuracy.

Experience Requirements

• Proven experience as a Warehouse Clerk or similar role
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Experience in using and operating warehouse equipment, forklift certification preferred
• Must have or be able to obtain a Security Clearance

Key Information

• Pay: $24.00 to 29.50 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Pick/Pack Operations:
  • Accurately pick items from inventory based on customer orders.
  • Pack products securely to prevent damage during shipping.
  • Label packages with shipping information and ensure proper documentation.
• Palletizing Goods:
  • Organize and stack products on pallets for shipment.
  • Ensure pallets are stable, secure, and meet shipping standards.
• Equipment Operation:
  • Safely operate pallet jacks, forklifts, scissor lifts, and cherry pickers.
  • Perform regular equipment checks and report any maintenance needs.
• Inventory Management:
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory movements and transactions.
  • Assist in managing stock levels and reordering supplies as needed.
• General Warehouse Duties:
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
  • Follow all safety protocols and company policies.
  • Assist with receiving and unloading incoming shipments.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Warehouse Associate or similar role.
• Must have experience with forklift operation.
• Proficiency in operating warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, scissor lifts, and cherry pickers.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 70 pounds).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Basic computer skills for inventory management systems.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
