Job summary

WECTEC Staffing Services, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Westinghouse Electric Company LLC, seeks an Inventory Clerk in Manning, SC. The role supports Storeroom operations, reports to the Warehouse Manager, and involves on-site work Monday–Friday with forklift safety responsibilities.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, stocking, picking/packing, receiving shipments, and maintaining records. SAP used for requisitions and cycle counts are part of daily tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.

• Picking and packing orders according to customer specifications.
• Receiving and verifying incoming shipments.
• Keeping records of inventory and shipments.
• Keeping the warehouse clean and safe.
• Placing all necessary orders and replenishments using the SAP requisitions system.
• Working with the storeroom lead to complete all parts department cycle counts.
• Work with different departments to fulfill needs throughout the warehouse.
• Be able to operate forklifts and other equipment safely and effectively.
• Receive returns from projects, organize and restock materials, physically and systematically.
• Coordinate logistics for the delivery of product, maintain inventories, keeping operating records, and prepare daily record of transactions.

About the role:

Contract Position for an Inventory Clerk works with and reports to the Warehouse Lead and is responsible for Storeroom operation while performing the following responsibilities.

You will work on site M-F, day shift at the Manning, SC location.

You will report to the Warehouse Manager.

Inside approximately 95 % of the time; depending upon the time of year. An Inventory Clerk must also adhere to safety precautions when operating a forklift or hand pallet jack.

Key Responsibilities:

• Loading and unloading goods from trucks or containers
• Stocking shelves and maintaining inventory
• Picking and packing orders according to customer specifications
• Receiving and verifying incoming shipments
• Keeping records of inventory and shipments
• Keeping the warehouse clean and safe
• Placing all necessary orders and replenishments using the SAP requisitions system.
• Working with the storeroom lead to complete all parts department cycle counts.
• Work with different departments to fulfill needs throughout the warehouse
• Be able to operate forklifts and other equipment safely and effectively.
• Receive returns from projects, organize and restock materials, physically and systematically.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Complete all required training materials, attend all scheduled storeroom meetings.
• Coordinate logistics for the delivery of product, maintain inventories, keeping operating records, and prepare daily record of transactions.
• Help to ensure compliance of established security, customer service and record keeping policies and procedures.
• Task assignment and completion, safety, open/close duties.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent
• You will be at least 18 years of age.
• You will pass a stringent background and pre-employment drug screen
  • Almost constant standing or walking.
  • Must frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 100 pounds.
  • You will use close vision, distance, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Requires good manual skills (gross and fine finger dexterity).
  • You will reach above shoulder level.
  • You will be squatting, bending and reaching.
  • You will be climbing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching on an occasional basis.
