• Conduct inventories and periodic audits of stored or controlled items.

About the role:

Contract opportunity at Westinghouse Columbia Fuels facility, Hopkins, SC.

Key Responsibilities:

PRIMARY FUCTION: Move, receive, ship, weight, store, issue, pack/unpack purchased parts and supplies.

Your Day to Day:

1. Work from approved operating procedures and instructions.
2. Receive, unload, unpack, verify and record received materials, parts, tools, and supplies. Report and help resolve discrepancies.
3. Store and deliver materials.
4. Perform necessary material traceability and accountability transactions. Contact customers of materials received.
5. Issue or dispatch items to authorized locations and employees. Record appropriate transactions.
6. Conduct inventories and periodic audits of stored or controlled items.
7. Maintain equipment and work area in a clean condition.

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT include a fork-lift and a crane.

We also use vehicles, pallets, skids, boxes, and a banding machine. Lumber, nails, bolts, and waterproofing materials are also part of the equipment. Additionally, there is spray paint and equipment, hand tools, and severals manual and power saws. We use scales, hand trucks, and dolles, and marking devices, bins, and forms. Furthermore, there are requisitions, inventory reports, files, transfers, computer documents, and scrap documents.

MATERIALS

A variety of raw, in-process and finished material, machine tools, purchased parts, paint, oil, special nuclear and other types of hazardous materials.
