Job summary

Rush Enterprises Inc. is hiring a Warehouse Clerk in Houston to maintain accurate inventory, process shipments, and deliver quality customer service. You will verify incoming goods, store stock promptly, and keep systems updated with precise locations and records.

The role requires lifting ability, basic forklift training, and a valid driver license. You’ll join a fast-paced warehouse team focused on safety, efficiency, and continuous growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds or more as needed.
• Three months’ related experience or training, or an equivalent combination.
• Valid driver license with insurability.

Responsibilities

• Receive and verify shipments, match counts to packing slips and enter data.
• Process and store incoming stock within 24 hours with correct bin locations.
• Assign locations and update system; label and organize parts.
• Check in inter-branch shipments, generate picking lists, stage parts for delivery.
• Pull customer orders and prepare for will call, shipment, or delivery.
• Maintain a clean, organized warehouse and follow safety policies.
• Assist with will-call bins and paperwork organization.
• Process junk cores, tag, store, and return to vendors weekly.
• Dispatch drivers and provide driving directions as needed.
• Process customer returns and ensure resale condition.
• File freight claims for shortages or damaged parts within 24 hours.
• Serve as backup Parts Driver when needed.
• Pull, package, and ship vendor returns.

• File freight claims for shortages or damaged parts within 24 hours.
• Serve as backup Parts Driver when needed.
• Pull, package, and ship vendor returns.

Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education diploma (GED).
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds or more as required by position
• Three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current and valid driver license with a driving record that meets the insurability guidelines set forth by the company’s insurance carrier.

• Must complete company-provided forklift training and obtain certification within 90 days. All forklift operators must be at least 18 years old, as required by law.
