Job description

Critical role that partners closely with suppliers and vendors to ensure acceptable inventory levels. This role is the first line of defense for all supplier related issues. Responsible for submitting orders to vendors, communicating order pickups within the organization, and addressing past due orders with vendors.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure “Safety First” is always practiced and observes and adheres to all job safety rules.
• Abide by ALL Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Coordination of dock activity.
• Month end reconciliation of PO’s and Warehouse open items.
• Ensure warehouse is always in SQF audit readiness (PO Documentation, Record Keeping, etc.)
• Verify all paperwork is correct, completed, and signed by Warehouse team members.
• Able to follow the established SOPs for receiving and transfers documentation, and any other instruction given by leadership.
• Able to correspond with all operational departments as well as with customers and vendors.
• Research errors and issues with inventory (purchase orders and transfers).
• Prepare and provide reports to supervisor and manager as needed (PO backlog, COA log, etc.).
• Partners closely with Transportation Dispatcher to ensure timeliness of shipping/receiving activities.
• Maintain Warehouse Office in organized and professional appearance.
• Filing all documentation within the receiving office.
• Complete other tasks as assigned by leadership.

Desired Qualifications

• Intermediate computer spreadsheet and word processing.
• Read and write English fluently.
• Bilingual is a plus.
• 2 years of shipping and receiving experience.
• 2 years of experience using Bar Code Scanning.

Physical Requirements/ Environment

• Repetitive lifting, push, pulling up to 50 pounds.
• Frequent standing walking, bending, twisting, lifting, climbing stairs.
• Ability to work in a cold environment.
