Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Permanent Full Time Warehouse Clerk in City of Industry, California. This position offers weekly pay and a first shift from 5:00 am to 1:30 pm, Monday to Friday. Pay is $19.60 per hour with overtime at $33.00 per hour.

We support a safe supply chain environment with state of the art equipment and comprehensive benefits from day 30. Training is on the job. The role includes handling garments and shoes, operating forklift equipment, and working with cherry pickers and pallet

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year or more clerical or warehouse experience.
• One year or more forklift experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint/Word).
• Strong verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities with clerks from other floor areas, the customer and/or other suppliers as needed.
• Use the location's WMS system to update area or shift metrics as needed.
• Generate daily, weekly or monthly reports and memos of a technical and confidential nature.
• Floor work and additional duties as assigned.
• Perform basic administrative tasks for area or shift and maintain filing systems.
• Gather from and provide information to floor employees in the area of support.

• Hourly Pay: $19.60 per hour

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One (1) year or more clerical or warehouse experience preferred
• One (1) year or more experience operating forklift equipment preferred
• One (1) year or more Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates customer service skills.
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors).
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment.
• Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills.
