Job summary

Ryder Supply Chain Solutions in City of Industry, California, seeks a permanent full-time Warehouse Clerk. The role handles garments/shoes, uses cherry pickers and pallet jacks, and relies on the WMS for metrics.

Starting pay is $19.60 per hour with overtime at $33.00 per hour. First shift: Mon-Fri 5:00 am–1:30 pm. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, PTO, and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year clerical or warehouse experience.
• 1+ year forklift experience preferred.
• 1+ year Microsoft Office experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates activities with clerks from other floor areas, the customer and/or other suppliers as needed.
• Uses the location's WMS system to update area or shift metrics as needed.
• Generates daily, weekly or monthly reports, memos, and summaries often of a technical and/or confidential nature.
• Floor work and additional duties as assigned.
• Performs basic administrative tasks for area or shift. Maintains filing systems and documents.
• Gathers information from and provides information to floor employees in his/her area of support.
• Coordinates activities/meetings/communication for the specific area or shift.
• Performs other duties as assigned depending on area supported or location specifics.

Ryder is immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Warehouse Clerk in City of Industry, California

• Hourly Pay: $19.60 per hour
• Overtime Pay: $33.00 per hour when working overtime
• Schedule: First Shift Monday - Friday 5 :00 am - 1:30 pm

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One (1) year or more clerical or warehouse experience preferred
• One (1) year or more experience operating forklift equipment preferred
• One (1) year or more Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates customer service skills.
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors).
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment.
• Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills.
