Job summary

Ryder in Decatur, IL is seeking a Warehouse Clerk to join a clean, well‑run facility supporting agricultural products. The role includes forklift operation, clerical tasks, and coordination with floor teams on a fast-paced shift.

You will work Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, with weekly pay, competitive benefits, and opportunities to grow within a nationwide logistics company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year clerical or warehouse experience preferred.
• Experience operating forklift equipment preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).
• Strong verbal and written communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to build professional relationships across all levels of the organization.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates activities with clerks from other floor areas, the customer and/or other suppliers as needed.
• Uses the location's WMS system to update area or shift metrics.
• Generates daily, weekly or monthly reports and summaries.
• Performs floor work and additional duties as assigned.
• Performs basic administrative tasks and maintains filing systems.
• Gathers information and provides it to floor employees in area of support.
• Coordinates meetings and communications for the area or shift.

Hourly Pay: $22.00 per hour

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One (1) year or more clerical or warehouse experience preferred
• One (1) year or more experience operating forklift equipment preferred
• One (1) year or more Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates customer service skills.
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors).
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
