Job summary

IKEA Tacoma is seeking a warehouse associate to manage waste processing, collect, sort, bail, dispose, and store waste in line with IKEA Sustainability guidelines. You will safely operate various material handling equipment and waste baler, and maintain a clean, safe work area across the fulfillment unit.

This permanent—full-time position runs Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM, with benefits eligibility and a pay rate of $19.50 per hour.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Ability to obtain IKEA forklift driver’s certification.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs./30 kg ergonomically.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for long periods.
  • Ability to operate and maintain waste-related equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Assume responsibility for processing material waste of the unit.
  • Collect, sort, bail, dispose, and store waste in accordance with IKEA Sustainability guidelines.
  • Safely operate various material handling equipment.
  • Operate waste baler and other sustainability related tools.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area in all locations within the fulfillment unit.
  • Contribute to an environment where IKEA culture is a strong and living reality that embraces the diversity of co-workers and customers.
  • Perform other duties assigned

The hourly pay rate for this position is $19.50/hr

  • You must have the ability to obtain IKEA’s forklift driver’s certification.
