Job summary

Eastman Chemical Company is seeking a Warehouse Chemical Operator Specialist in the Anniston area to load/unload railcars, monitor tanks, and perform blends and packaging while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and legal eligibility to work in the United States. Training on DeltaV, SAP and related systems will be provided as part of on-the-job development.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Load and unload railcars, tank trucks, and isotainers with proper documentation, closure, placarding, and leak inspection.
• Monitor tanks, pumps and instrumentation in the tank farm and transfer materials with proper inspection and documentation.
• Make product blends while adhering to production, HSES, and quality requirements.
• Fill containers with product with proper documentation, sealing, closure, signage, and leak inspection.
• Package product, stack pallets, and inspect for leaks.
• Load and unload trucks following HSES and DOT requirements.
• Maintain and monitor process equipment per standard operating procedures and troubleshoot as needed.
• Take samples, monitor results, and take corrective actions when necessary.
• Record process and production data and support supervisors and engineers to improve production, quality and safety.
• Operate DeltaV, SAP and Outlook; follow written instructions and procedures.

Responsibilities

1. Load and unload railcars, tank trucks, and isotainers making proper documentation, closure, placarding, sealing, and inspecting for leaks.
2. Monitor tanks, pumps and instrumentation in the tank farm and transfers materials to and from loading areas and production areas making proper inspection and documentation
3. Make product blends as required adhering to all production, HSES (Health, Safety, Environmental, and Security), and quality requirements.
4. Fill containers with product as required making proper documentation, sealing, closure, signage, and inspecting for leaks
5. Package product making proper documentation, stacking product on pallets, and inspecting for leaks.
6. Load and unload trucks as required adhering to all HSES and DOT requirements.
7. Maintaining, controlling and monitoring process equipment following standard operating procedures
8. Troubleshooting process problems as necessary and performing minor maintenance
9. Staying abreast of process changes and communicating status at shift turnover meetings
10. Taking samples, monitoring the results of the samples and taking corrective actions if necessary
11. Recording process and production data according to departmental requirements
12. Supporting supervisors and engineers to troubleshoot problems and enhance production, quality and safety
13. Staying up to date on computer software and equipment (Delta-V, SAP and Outlook)
14. Understand/follow written or verbal instructions/procedures
15. Troubleshoot problems
16. Use computers to:

• Access procedures and other information
• Access and complete required training
• Input/retrieve data
• Operate Delta V System

Qualifications
