Job summary

Eastman Chemical Company in Kingsport, TN is seeking a warehouse/production operator to load and unload railcars and tanks, monitor equipment, and ensure safe, documented operations. You will follow HSES policies, use SAP/Outlook, and assist with process improvements.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and are legally authorized to work in the United States. Prior warehouse experience is preferred and training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Preferred experience in warehouse/manufacturing and computer interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload railcars, tank trucks, and isotainers with proper documentation and inspection.
• Monitor tanks, pumps, and instrumentation; transfer materials and document actions.
• Perform product blends following production, safety, and quality requirements.
• Fill containers, seal, and inspect for leaks; package products and maintain records.
• Load/unload trucks; follow HSES and DOT requirements.
• Maintain process equipment per SOPs and troubleshoot issues.
• Take samples, record results, and take corrective actions as needed.
• Stay current on computer software (Delta-V, SAP, Outlook) and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload railcars, tank trucks, and isotainers making proper documentation, closure, placarding, sealing, and inspecting for leaks.
• Monitor tanks, pumps and instrumentation in the tank farm and transfers materials to and from loading areas and production areas making proper inspection and documentation
• Make product blends as required adhering to all production, HSES (Health, Safety, Environmental, and Security), and quality requirements.
• Fill containers with product as required making proper documentation, sealing, closure, signage, and inspecting for leaks
• Package product making proper documentation, stacking product on pallets, and inspecting for leaks.
• Load and unload trucks as required adhering to all HSES and DOT requirements.
• Maintaining, controlling and monitoring process equipment following standard operating procedures
• Troubleshooting process problems as necessary and performing minor maintenance
• Staying abreast of process changes and communicating status at shift turnover meetings
• Taking samples, monitoring the results of the samples and taking corrective actions if necessary
• Recording process and production data according to departmental requirements
• Supporting supervisors and engineers to troubleshoot problems and enhance production, quality and safety
• Staying up to date on computer software and equipment (Delta-V, SAP and Outlook)
• Understand/follow written or verbal instructions/procedures
• Troubleshoot problems
• Use computers to:
• Access procedures and other information
• Access and complete required training
• Follow all HSES and company rules and policies.

Qualifications
