Job summary

Eastman in Virginia is seeking a warehouse logistics associate to manage shipments, process SAP transactions, and support daily material moves. The role reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and runs on a daytime schedule with potential overtime.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, strong communication and organizational skills, and proficiency with SAP, SharePoint, Excel, and the Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Day shift position reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor
• Typical work schedule: 8:30am to 5:00 pm (one half hour paid lunch)
• Manage and schedule shipments
• Process all shipments in SAP for the Warehouse
• Print and attach all necessary paperwork to the shipments
• Schedule carriers
• Correspond with Customer Service and Logistics Support
• Assist floor operators with material movements and loading and unloading of carriers
• Receive in material in SAP and apply proper labels to material (both direct and indirect)
• Perform inventory count of supplies needed at various plants
• Operate PIT equipment

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: Must be High School Graduate or equivalent.
• The individual applying for this position should:
• Demonstrate effective communication and organizational skills
• Demonstrate attention to detail, with the ability to produce accurate, error-free work
• Have the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously and be adaptive in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment
• Possess knowledge of the Microsoft suite of products including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Experience with SharePoint
• Experience with SAP required
• Have demonstrated the ability to take initiative and assume responsibility for projects and results
• Willing to work overtime as needed based on production and project schedules
• Works well both independently and in a team setting
• Dedicated and motivated to continuously improve in all areas of responsibility
• Possess knowledge of basic logistics including carriers
• Demonstrate basic math skills by calculating square feet and area
• Note: Eastman will not accept applicants for this offered position who require visa sponsorship, including those whose status is F-1 visa OPT who subsequently would require ongoing visa sponsorship.

The starting rate for this position is $18.03 per hour.

Compensation is determined according to a structured rate schedule and may be adjusted based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and relevant skills.
