Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred (supply chain, business, or technical discipline).
• MBA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Creates and aligns the Global and Regional Logistics Strategy on a 5-year horizon for the business and executes it with Logistics Ops and Procurement Strategy.
• Participates in Supply Chain and Global Logistics Leadership teams and reports on KPIs for BU teams.
• Launches and prioritizes Business Logistics Projects.
• Defines business partner needs with Logistics teams and drives continuous improvement.
• Leads Integrated Business Planning routines focusing on logistics performance and cost forecasting.
• Coordinates investigations and responses to customer feedback cases.
• Articulates logistics capabilities into customer segmentation and cost-to-serve for corporate initiatives.
• Advises on service levels and contract terms in pricing discussions.
• Engages commercial teams on opportunities with significant logistics needs and partners to integrate growth at best cost.
• Leads Scenario Planning with Business and Logistics to meet customer needs.
• Acts as a corporate prioritization task force during market disruptions.

Description

A global role at Eastman aligned with the Business Supply Chain which requires strong leadership, relationship skills, and outstanding communication capabilities. The Logistics Manager fully understands business strategy and segmentation and is key to logistics success within the Business. The Logistics Manager creates the logistics strategy for the business and works collaboratively with Logistics Operations and Logistics Procurement to execute the strategy. A supply chain network expert for the business, understanding costs and service tradeoffs for existing and new supply chain structures, the Logistics Manager enables commercial success in meeting logistics service offerings for customer segments.

Responsibilities

• Creates and aligns the Global and Regional Logistics Strategy on a 5-year horizon for the business and works to execute that strategy in collaboration with Logistics Operations and Procurement Strategy.
• Participates as a member of the Supply Chain and Global Logistics Leadership teams to drive Logistics-related projects and reports on KPIs, providing benchmarks that demonstrate market position for BU teams.
• Launches and prioritizes Business Logistics Projects
• Works with Logistics Business of Excellence and regional Logistics teams to define Business partner needs and translating those needs to drive continuous improvement.
• Leads and participates in Integrated Business Planning routines with a focus on logistics performance. Business focal point for distribution cost forecast routine.
• Coordinates investigations and responses to customer feedback cases.
• Articulates Logistics capabilities into customer segmentation, cost to serve and other corporate initiatives and tools
• Trusted business partner for logistics aspects of pricing commercial agreements, including advising on service levels and contract clauses such as cost recovery mechanisms and freight adders among others.
• Engages commercial teams on customer opportunities with significant logistics needs, advising commercial on logistics concerns as opportunity develops and partnering with Logistics Operations to integrate growth into the network at the best cost for the service required.
• Leads Scenario Planning with the Business and Logistics to offer options and creative approaches in meeting our Customers' needs including cost to serve and warehousing strategy.
• Logistics Managers - Business as a team act as a corporate prioritization task force during market disruptions and events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university: supply chain, business related, or technical discipline preferred
• MBA preferred
• Business, Supply Chain, or Logistics experience preferred
