Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Tarboro, North Carolina is hiring Case Pickers to join a safety‑minded warehouse team. The 2nd shift runs Monday through Friday from 3:00pm to 11:00pm, with weekly pay and strong benefits.

Base pay is $19.50 per hour, with overtime at $29.25 and a $0.50 shift premium. You will pick product, palletize, operate pallet jacks and RF scanners, and support cycle counting and inventory control.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more warehouse experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Adequate math skills.
• Able to read location codes and product codes.
• Commitment to GMP standards.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to build professional relationships across the organization.
• Capable of multi-tasking with strong time management.
• Detail oriented with thorough follow-up.

Responsibilities

• Pick product and case pick.
• Palletize, hand stack and stretch wrap as required.
• Safely operate material handling equipment.
• Assist in cycle counting and inventory control.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more previous warehouse experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
• Must have adequate math skills
• Able to recognize and read location codes and product codes
• Meet and exceed established Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)
• Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills
• Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices
