Job summary

SIGMA is seeking a Warehouse Associate at our Irving, Texas distribution center. You will participate in the organized flow of warehouse operations, load/unload trucks, rotate inventory, and help reconcile inventory in a high-volume facility.

The role emphasizes safety and accuracy in handling product in a cold environment. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of warehouse experience, be fluent in Spanish, and have experience with pallet jacks or forklifts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years warehouse experience.
• Fluent in Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Move product utilizing material handling equipment including pallet jacks and forklifts.
• Unload inbound trucks and store product in warehouse cooler.
• Organize and rotate product in warehouse cooler to prevent spoilage.
• Assemble and stage product orders for pre-sale and onboard sales routes.
• Load delivery vehicles based off route specifications.
• Ensure order documentation and product receipt are correctly processed according to policy.
• Clean cooler and warehouse to ensure an orderly and safe environment.
• Help research questions and resolve discrepancies during monthly inventory reconciliation.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

Job Descrition

Minimum Qualifications

• High School or equivalent
• 2 years warehouse experience
• Fluent in Spanish

Preferred Qualifications

• Fluency in English
• Experience and certification with materials handling equipment, including but not limited to, pallet jack and forklift
• Experience in food products

Physical Requirements

• Able to stand for a full shift of at least 8 hours.
• Able to climb up/down, in/out of truck body.
• Can repeatedly lift and move 30 pound boxes/buckets on/off shelves or cart/hand-truck
• Can repeatedly turn, twist, kneel, stoop, stand, rotate, bend, push or pull to move 30 pounds.
• Able to repeatedly move 75 pound load on a cart/hand-truck without assistance.

Work Environment

Able to work in a cold environment of approximately 34˚ F for prolonged periods of time.
