Job summary

Sigma Foods, home of the Bar-S brand, is seeking a Merchandiser to stock Hispanic Brands products at customers' locations in the Burien area. You will maintain store shelf standards, align pricing with promotions, and optimize brand presence.

This role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, a personal vehicle, and a food handler’s permit. Candidates should be customer-focused, organized, and fluent in Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and a personal vehicle meeting company standards.
• Food handler's permit.
• MVR check as per Sigma standards.

Responsibilities

• Stock and merchandise products at customer locations and maintain shelf standards.
• Protect and gain shelf space for Bar-S products during promotions.
• Provide excellent customer service and assess customer needs.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers.
• Create weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly reports.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

Stock Hispanic Brands products at customers' locations in assigned locations.

Essential Job Functions

• Maintain store shelf standards and inventory through various merchandising strategies, including but not limited to rotation of products; ensure pricing matches current promotions and current marketing and promotional materials are displayed.
• Protect and gain merchandise shelf space for Bar-S products by stocking temporary bunkers and spaces for scheduled promotions; optimize brand presence in designated areas.
• Provide excellent customer service; assess the needs of the customer to best recommend products.
• Maintain excellent working relationship with customers.
• Create weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly reports.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

License/Certifications

• Personal vehicle which meets company standards for licensing and insurance
• Food handler's permit
• Driver's License which meets company requirements
• MVR which meets Sigma driving standards with review by Talent & Culture

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual in spanish and English

Customer service skills including the ability to manage and respond to different customer situations while maintaining a positive and friendly attitude
Must demonstrate strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
Fully fluent in Spanish
Proven ability to motivate self and others

Environmental/Working Conditions

Able to work in a cold environment of approximately 34º F for prolonged periods of time
Availability to work some weekends and evenings
Can regularly lift and move 30 pound boxes/buckets on/off shelves or cart/hand-truck.
Can repeatedly twist, turn, kneel, stoop, stand, rotate, bend, push or pull to move 30 pounds.
